We
will be looking into C.S. Lewis' thought provoking book, Mere
Christianity. Come and see how C.S. Lewis' perspectives and insights
will challenge our views of Christianity. Using supporting Bible
passages, we will investigate his ideas in depth. Plus we will have
goodies and all sorts of fun!

Men's
small group (MSG) is a small group where men from RCA get together to
hold each other accountable on many levels and to talk about problems
pertaining to the views most people have about men and especially
Christian men. This semester we will dive into the Word to search out
answers to our many questions and have speakers come in who are very
knowledgeable and can teach us and guide us in our everyday lives.
Small Group Leader(s): Andrew Fassett
Location: RPI Student Union 3510
If
you are interested in dedicating your time so that the Lord can equip
you for Evangelism, interested in saving lost souls, or developing a
compassion for the lost, this small group is for you. This small group
is to equip people and to utilize a spiritual survey to actively engage
people in the area in spiritual conversations, with the goal being to
share the Gospel with them.
Small Group Leader(s): Dennis Berridge
Location: RPI Student Union 3514 (Chaplain's Office)
How
can we believe God is good in the midst of all the evil in the world?
This is one of the most important questions in life, and also one of
the most difficult. In this small group, we will be looking at what the
Bible says about God, evil, and how they interact, and also working
through what people have said on this issue.
Small Group Leader(s): Eric Shaffer
Location: RPI Student Union 3514 (Chaplain's Office)
What
does it mean to live for Christ? How the heck do we do that and why
should we bother? This small group will explore, through tons of
scripture, prayer, and conversation, what it looks like to live for
Christ all day, every day. And we will strive to do so. For "I no
longer live, but Christ lives in me." (Gal 2:20)
Small Group Leader(s): Jon Rankin, Kelli Gardner
Location: 54 Colvin Circle, Troy (map)
This
small group is about looking at what the Bible says on a variety of
topics relevant to everyday situation and writing it down. Almost like
taking notes on the Bible, not for a test, but for your life. We as a
group will choose the topics we'd most like to look at, which can be
just about anything.
Small Group Leader(s): John Edwards
Location: Secret and underground
Imagine
living in a world where you risked imprisonment or death for talking
about your faith. What effect would there be on the way you lived the
Christian life? We will study church history and relevant instructions
to develop practical answers.
Small Group Leader(s): Robert Piazza
Location: RPI Student Union
We
will be focusing on the Biblical basics of guy/girl relationships.
Starting from a perspective of wanting to serve God first, we will be
looking at how this shapes the way we interact with the opposite gender
in friendship, dating and marriage.
